Happy International Talk Like a Pirate Day

For those of you who were uninformed, today is the twelfth annual "International Talk Like a Pirate Day". It was started in 1995 between a couple of friends as a joke, and in 2002 received publicity through a columnist who promoted the day. The patron saint of this day is actor Robert Newton, who played Long John Silver on Disney's Treasure Island. So, matey; Arrr, Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum to ya!

As a disclaimer, this information was taken from wikapedia, and should be regarded as such..

Something about today feels very ominous. You know when you have that impending feeling of doom, well, that's what I've got. I think it's because I start back at Sears today. I didn't really think that I was dreading it until I put on all my black clothes this morning, then it hit me. Oh, well, gotta pay for rent somehow, right? It really shouldn't be that bad, I think I just miss my jeans already.

Wonder Bread

Wonder_Bread_logo

So today I made a fantastic discovery! I was on my way back from my drug test (for those of you who don't know I'm going back to Sears(I'm pretty sure I passed the drug screening)) and I remembered that we needed bread at our house. I also remembered that there is a Wonder Bread store on 32nd Street, so I decided to try it out. It was one of the best discoveries ever! You know how you always want to buy the good bread at the grocery store, but it's like three bucks a loaf so you always end up with the nasty Wal Mart bread? At least that's what I do. But today at the Wonder Bread store I found that they make all your dreams come true-that is if you dream about good yet cheap bread. Anyway, I bought good wheat bread, and sourdough (which is one of my favorites) and potato bread (mmm potato bread) all of these for about the price of one of these loaves at Wal Mart! Yes, I do realize that I may have gone a little overboard on the bread buying, especially when you consider that my roommate just bought a loaf yesterday too, but I was just so excited that I couldn't help myself. I mean we're talking about good bread here, and for only a dollar a loaf, Seriously! So that was my exciting discovery for the day. Maybe someday you also will discover the wonders of the Wonder Bread store.

Monthly Review

So I guess it's time to update again. Since my last update I have been to Colorado and back (which was great by the way), my friend Sheri moved to Russia (which was really sad, but I'm glad she's there), I started classes at Southern (which is the first time in my life I've ever been to a state school of any kind), my roommates got back to the apartment (which I am very thankful for; it was kind of lonely around here), and that is basically the gist of what has been happening in the past month. I'm having three of the Japanese students over for dinner tonight. When I asked them Hero's face was classic; he was in shock that I would ask him over for dinner after just having met him on Monday I think. I'm fixing fajitas, I hope they turn out well. Hmm, well I guess that's about it for now, sorry if I forgot anything in there, remind me if I did and I will put in an ammendment to this post up for you. Everyone have a great day!
